Culvert Cleaning & Swale Construction At 26th Street

As part of the District’s ongoing stormwater maintenance and flood mitigation efforts, the crew completed culvert cleaning and swale construction along NW 26th Street. The work focused on removing debris and obstructions from the drainage culverts to restore proper water flow and reduce blockages during rain events.

Additionally, new swales were constructed and existing ones regraded to improve surface water runoff and prevent localized flooding. These improvements are expected to enhance overall drainage efficiency in the area and contribute to better long-term water management throughout the neighborhood.

This project supports the District’s commitment to maintaining safe, functional, and resilient stormwater infrastructure.
